Store closed because of COVID-19?
We have temporarily waived the timeframe for all states that are currently in lockdown. As long as it meets the rest of our returns policy and is within a reasonable timeframe once stores are open that is fine.
You’ve got 2 super simple options for returning your order – return in-store or post it back to us – but it depends on where you bought it.
Shopped in-store? Return in-store.
Shopped online with card, PayPal or e-gift card? Return in-store or via post.
Shopped online with Afterpay? Return via post (or in store using the Afterpay Card).
Shopped on Ebay, Amazon or Catch? Return by following the relevant process.
Want to exchange your order?
You can exchange your item in store (except for Ebay, Amazon or Catch orders), or post it back to us for a refund and repurchase the correct size you are after.
Come into any Kathmandu store with your proof of purchase and the card you paid with (if you paid on card).
Returning via post
Did you know returns via post can now be started online?!
If you have an account you can do this by logging into your account, going to the 'My Orders' section of My Account, clicking 'View Order' on the order you want to create a return for and then click 'Return'.
If you did not create an account you can do this by using your order number here. You'll need to provide some information to confirm this is your order, and once this is complete you click 'Return' in the order information screen.
Once on the return screen select the item you wish to return and fill out the required fields. If you need to return more than one item click the 'Add Item to Return' button to add more items to your return.
Pack your order carefully and follow the returns procedure on your packing slip. If you have lost your slip please download the Product Returns Form, fill it in and post to:

You might have noticed that you received your awesome Kathmandu gear in a 100% recycled bag. If you do need to return this product, you can now use the same bag to do so.
- All you need to do is use the cut along the perforated edge and remove this part of the bag.
- Then simply peel off the seal and close the bag.
- Put our address on the front and send it off.
- Voila, you’re done.

We’d suggest you get tracking on your return as we don’t take responsibility for things getting lost in the mail, and ask that you do not include your credit card details on the form. Please note you will need to cover the cost to return the item to us.
Once you have a tracking number please update the return with this info - again by either logging into your account or using your order number.
Please allow 14 days for us to process your return once it has been received by us.
You can check how your return’s tracking in the ‘My Orders’ section of My Account (if you’ve signed up for one) and logged the returns information.
